The video of The Ride Up (Dialup / Broadband) the Sandia Peak Tramway shows you what a trip is like on the Worlds Longest Aerial Tramway. It sweeps you from the Base Terminal to over 10,000 feet above sea level at the Sandia Peak. Once there you can have lunch or dinner at the High Finance Restaurant and Tavern.
In the winter, Albuquerque skiers avoid the long drive around the mountain to the Sandia Peak Ski Area, by taking the Tram right to the top of the runs.
The view of Albuquerque from the Base of the Sandia Peak Tramway is good, especially the sparkling lights of the city at sunset. From the Top of the Sandia Peak Tramway you can not only see all of Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and Corrales from Two Miles up, but much of western New Mexico as far out as Mount Taylor near Grants.
